Batches
Stock arrives as batches with a quantity, cost and optional expiry date. Batches are what make pharmacy recalls, cigar humidor rotation and food safety practical.
Movements
- Receipt — new stock in
- Sale — decrement triggered by an order or dispense
- Adjustment — counted difference, damage, waste
- Transfer — between locations
Safety
All decrements happen in a single database routine that re-checks the available quantity, so concurrent sales cannot push a batch negative.
